Guided by faith, working together in love
Kingsteignton United Reformed Church is led by a small team of dedicated people—both ordained and lay—who share a deep commitment to our faith and community. Together, we seek to follow Christ’s example of love, service, and inclusion in all that we do.
Our Minister - Revd Jessica Ashcroft-Townsley
Jessica serves as our minister offering spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and a creative vision for how faith can speak meaningfully in today’s world.
Her ministry is shaped by a passion for inclusion and authenticity: creating spaces where everyone can explore faith safely and without judgement.
Jessica has a pioneering heart and believes that church should be a community where people can come as they are and find grace, hope, and purpose in God’s love. She is passionate about helping people connect with the God who meets us where we are.
When she’s not leading worship or sharing a cup of tea at the Come As You Are Café, she’s often found writing, walking her dog, or enjoying time with her wife, Donna, and their children, Weston and Maddie.
Church Elders and Leaders
They help with worship, pastoral care, and the day-to-day running of church life. Each elder brings unique gifts, insights, and compassion to our shared ministry.
Together with our minister, they prayerfully guide the direction of the church and ensure that Kingsteignton URC remains a welcoming, caring place for all.
Serving Elders:
Ms Catherine Harris: Church Secretary

Volunteers and Friends
Much of what happens at Kingsteignton URC depends on the goodwill and energy of our volunteers, from those who make the tea to those who arrange flowers, manage finances, or organise events.
Everyone has a part to play, and every contribution, no matter the size, matters. We are grateful for the many people whose quiet acts of service make our church the warm, welcoming community it is.
“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit.” — 1 Corinthians 12:4
